The head notes start with oud, black pepper, saffron, and cardamom. The middle notes follow with floral notes, and the base notes of guaiac wood, sandalwood, and Madagascar vanilla finish this fragrance.

The purple flacon has an Art Deco design and a gold label and a gold cap. Pierre Montale is nose and the founder of the niche perfume brand Mancera, which presents lighter, fresher Western-style fragrances using Arab ingredients and intensity levels. Montale began his career with his family’s business, Comptoir Sud Pacifique. After being involved with the business for 15 years, the company was sold and Montale worked for perfumeries in Dubai and Qatar between 1998 and 2003. He returned to Paris, France and launched his namesake brand, inspired by the predominantly oud fragrances of the Middle East.
