Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo by Salvatore Ferragamo Cologne. Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo by the eponymous house was first introduced in autumn of 2016. This fragrance is a rich blend of wood and spice tempered by fruit and floral accords. The top notes are bold and fresh: bergamot spiked with piquant black pepper and cardamom. The center is a warm and balancing accord of orange blossom, ambroxan and sweet-tart tiramisu. Finally, soft sandalwood, Tonka bean and cashmere wood produce a distinctly masculine finish that is smooth and lingering.
Salvatore Ferragamo's name has long been associated with fine Italian footwear. He began making shoes in Naples at age 9. In 1914 he immigrated to the U.S. and worked in a Boston boot factory. He later moved to Southern California, where he began creating made-to-measure footwear for celebrities in the film industry. Eventually he opened his own shop in Florence. Ferragamo passed in 1960, but his famed family brand continues, having expanded offerings to include fragrances, handbags, accessories, watches, clothing and more.
