Olympea by Paco Rabanne Perfume. Olympea is the symbolization of a strong woman, a take-charge kind of gal whose scent needs to be as vivacious as she is. The first level grips you with revitalizing notes of green mandarin, tangy ginger lily, and sweet water jasmine. It then dries down to a core of salty vanilla that accents the base notes of creamy sandalwood, animalic ambergris, and multi-scented cashmere wood. You are left with a salty, woody-marine aroma that’s ever so pleasing.
The master perfumers behind this creation are Loc Dong, Anne Flipo, and Dominque Ropion. It was debuted in 2015 in a bottle reminiscent of a laurel wreath. Paco Rabbane was a Spain emigrant/refugee who started the eponymous brand in 1966. He was originally an architect, but then got into clothing and jewelry design. The fragrance line began in 1969 with a women’s perfume. The fashion design house has produced several collections over the years, with a recent parfum out in 2017.
