A La Rose by Maison Francis Kurkdjian Perfume. A La Rose was launched exclusively in Japan in 2014. This new fragrance for women was created as an ode to femininity. Top notes feature the bright, juicy accords of Bergamot and Mandarin. Soft florals begin before the dry down. As the heart takes center stage, roses dominate. Damascena rose from Bulgaria and Centifolia rose from Grasse mesh with violet and magnolia for a lush, sensual aroma. Whispers of earthiness shine through the powdery finishas the base takes over. Cedar’s woody base notes provide a counterpoint to the florals.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian fell in love with perfumes as a teenager. After attending the prestigious ISIPCA in Versailles, he created his first fragrance in 1993 under the Jan Paul Gaultier label. In 2001, after spending time in New York’s Quest International office, he opened his bespoke workshop. His self-named brand was established in 2009 with co-founder Marc Chaya. There are 42 perfumes in the collection.
